Nabunturan, Compostela Valley-Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño, together with FDCP Executive Director Will Fredo and Architect Paul Sta. Maria, visits Nabunturan on December 19, 2016 to finalize their partnership and collaboration with the Local Government of Nabunturan, headed by Mayor Chelita Amatong, on the building of the future Cinematheque in the municipality.

LGU Nabunturan donated the 800 sq. m. land near Central Elementary School in Prk. 13, Poblacion for the construction of the first movie theater in Nabunturan.

Diño disclosed during the meeting with Mayor Amatong that the design will be a new creative look, a pioneering architecture of the future Cinematheques to be built in the country.
She disclosed her commitment to provide Nabunturan with a Cinematheque last September 23, 2016 during the NABIFILMEX 4 Stakeholders’ Forum.

Right after the meeting, FDCP team, Nabunturan Independent Film Exhibition (NABIFILMEX) Festival Director Atty. Santiago-Malaki, municipal engineers, executive assistant Charly Valer, and tourism staff headed to the site for an ocular inspection.
