Tax payers register at Business Permit & Licensing Office

Municipality of Nabunturan implemented the Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) to encourage those who engage in business to acquire permit, license and be included in the masterlist or alphalist of business taxpayers.

These engagement happens every renewal period from January 1 to January 20 in each year, participated by both local and national agencies in the government: Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Social Security System (SSS), Philippine National Police (PNP), Municipal Health Office (MHO), Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) with the Business Permit and Licensing Section (BPLS) This also includes Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC), a humanitarian organization. The BOSS is located at the BPLS- Office of the Mayor.

BOSS paved the way in the realization of the vision, mission, and goal in the BPLS streamlining effort of the Local Government Unit. Regular meeting of all offices concerned were done to discuss problems, issues, needs, and other concerns prior to the renewal period.

“It is the concept of the BOSS to cater the needs of entrepreneurs in a more convenient and business-friendly way; to attract more investors in the municipality and also, reduce the time and effort of the business taxpayers in the processing of their documents without delay. It enables to adopt a strategic work plan that complements process improvement,” Gilda F. Aldaya, Licensing Officer III said.

In 2017 there was a revenue increase of 32.59% for business tax.
