Mayor Amatong leads in the capsule laying of the blue print of the Recto Evacuation facility
Nabunturan wins big with two major infrastructure projects funded by the Department of Interior and Local Government and Early Childhood Care and Development Council to rise this year.
Mayor Chelita C. Amatong led the ground breaking and capsule laying ceremonies plus pre construction conferences of the proposed Municipal Evacuation Facility and National Child Development Center last February 15, 2018.
With disaster preparedness as one of her priorities, Mayor Amatong determined Purok 1, Recto, Magsaysay as the location of another evacuation facility in the municipality. The said barangay is revealed to have the most number of evacuees during weather disturbances with residents living in flood-prone areas.
The said project costs Php 3, 798, 049.32 with LGU counterpart of Php 798, 049.32 of the total cost.
Meanwhile, a Child Development Center will also be built simultaneously along with the Evacuation Center at Prk. 9, Poblacion, Nabunturan, specifically beside the Senior Citizen Center.
The project is worth Php 2, 627, 380.90 with LGU counterpart of Php 127, 380.90 of the total cost.
Mayor Amatong reminded the contractors to make sure to construct a durable with good quality building. She said she does not want to compromise the safety of the people.
She also encouraged the community to help inspect and check the construction progress from time to time, aside from the assigned Project Engineers who will monitor and evaluate the project.
Vice Mayor Rodel Balili, SB member Romeo Clarin Jr., Board Member Vivencia Secuya, Brgy. Capt. Vicente Y. Diano, Sr. and his council members, Recto Elementary School Teaching Force, MLGOO Evan Noel Pascua, Special Project Consultant Mr. Freddie D. Coronica, and Brgy. Capt. Debbie Tan also graced the event.
