Beauty with a purpose.
The Municipal Tourism Council of Nabunturan, Inc. (MTCNI), together with Binibining Nabunturan candidates and event partners, conducted the symbolic project turn-over ceremony and tree nurturing activity at the Eco-tourism site in Barangay Linda last June 23, 2018.
This year’s Binibining Nabunturan will be a showcase of beauty, sophistication, and advocacy. In support of the further development of the Nabunturan eco-tourism park, event partners turned-over the advocacy project named as “Stairs of Hope” to the local government unit of Nabunturan and Assumption College of Nabunturan, who mainly manage the park.
The “Stairs of Hope” is the chosen project of the Binibining Nabunturan organizing committee to improve accessibility to varied parts of the park.
Through this eco-park, the local government aims to introduce learning facilities for educational purposes, to strengthen awareness on the importance of solid waste management, to open job and livelihood opportunities for the community, and to offer an alternative and wholesome recreational destination site for families and visitors.
After the turn-over ceremony, 13 Binibining Nabunturan proceeded with the tree nurturing activity to maintain the growth of the seedlings they have planted last July 15, 2018.
The Binibining Nabunturan 2018 is one of the highlights of the 61st Araw ng Nabunturan. The show will be on July 21, 2018, at the Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School Gym.
The winning candidate will become the town’s ambassadress of goodwill and will represent the municipality in the Bulawan Queen pageant during the Bulawan Festival in Compostela Valley. (Marga Melendres, Info. Section)
