LGU-Nabunturan Successfully Concluded 118th Civil Service Month

In concluding the 118th Civil Service Month last September 28, the employees and officials of the municipality go all-out during the culmination program held at the Municipal Covered Court.

The celebration of Civil Service month was a revitalizing experience to the employees and officials of the municipality who took part in activities like the Sports competition in the field of Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, and Dart.

The Larong Pinoy every Monday, free medical check-up and spiritual upliftment activity, outreach program to the Home for the Aged in Tagum City spearheaded by NALGEU, and the Boom Boom Dance Craze competition.

In line with the theme “Lingkod Bayani: Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makabayan”, Mayor Chelita C. Amatong, in her speech, urged the employees to keep on improving their services to the people.

She also stressed that, “…ato jud ba yang gipangita ni atong trabaho, so ato ning mahalon ug ato ning ampingan, kay dile tanan gusto musulod makatrabaho sa gobyerno…(We painstakingly worked to have this job, so we should love and take good care of it; because, not everyone is given the chance to work in the government).

During the culmination program, the Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) led the awarding of Loyalty Award to employees who have given ten, fifteen, twenty, thirty, and thirty-five years of service to the Nabunturanons.

Mayor Chelita C. Amatong, together with the guest of honor, Mr. Bob Timothy Ibuho from the Civil Service Commission, Compostela Valley Field Office, Vice Mayor Rodel G. Balili, SB Members’ Hon. Cheryl A. Trinidad, Hon. Jeovy G. Mandin, Hon. Romeo B. Clarin, Jr. and Hon. Mark Tristan Humol awarded the plaque of recognition to the employees.

Further, the Best Employee award was given to Mr. John Lofstrand, who has proven himself by having no number of late or tardiness, has been nominated by their department head, and has passed the panel interview.

On one hand, Vice Mayor Rodel G. Balili expressed his appreciation for the full participation of the departments in various activities.

In his speech, he remarked “Salamat sa nagkugi ug nag-apil. Ipadayon ang paghatag ug dungog sa atong mga empleyado isip front liners nga naga hatag ug serbisyo sa atong mga katawhan” (My gratitude to all who worked hard and joined. Let us continue to uphold our employees, being the front liners who provide services to our people).

One of the highlights of the event is the Boom Boom Dance Craze which excited and enthralled the employees who were ready to cheer for their group.

Winning the event was the purple team (from Engineering department) who delighted the audience and brought heavy laughter as barako men dressed in purple sleeveless top and short glimmering purple tutu attire danced their way in the Boom Boom tune with exuberance and sexy appeal.

They were followed by the blue team (from PNP and BFP department) in 2nd place, and yellow team (MSWD), who garnered 3rd place.

The night successfully ended with a more empowered employees who are ready to provide quality services to the people of Nabunturan.
