As the fight against drug abuse continue to strengthen, the Local Government Unit of Nabunturan under the Oplan Liwanag Program conducted two closing ceremonies in Barangay Katipunan and Barangay Cabacungan this month of May.
On May 10, 2019 Barangay Katipunan, under the leadership of Barangay Captain Eulogio C. Aguilo Jr., concluded the Intensive Care Program of Reformed Voluntary Surrenderers.
The activity was attended by heads and/or representatives of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Philippine National Police-Nabunturan Station (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Municipal Social Welfare Development (MSWD), Provincial Health Office (PHO), Municipal Health Office (MHO), Nabunturan Ministerial Fellowship, barangay council of Katipunan, friends, relatives, and family of the RVS.
While on May 22, 2019 Barangay Cabacungan successfully concluded the Intensive Care Program of Oplan Liwanag held at the Barangay Covered Court.
Barangay Captain Zosima B. Balio expressed her congratulations to the reformed voluntary surrenderers and urged them to live a drug-free and happy life.
The activity was attended by Mayor Chelita C. Amatong, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, heads and/or representatives from PNP, PAO, PDEA, MSWD, PHO, MHO, religious sectors, barangay council of Cabacungan, friends, relatives, and family of the RVS.
For a drug-free Nabunturan, Oplan Liwanag Program shall continue reaching other barangays to help inspire and change lives.
