After the Municipal Youth Development Council’s maiden session last Sunday, four (4) out of the eighteen (18) active organisations under its wing, followed suit, and conducted their first monthly meeting over the weekend to evaluate their performance from the previous year, and discuss their PPAs for C.Y. 2022.
These organisations include the IP Youth, 4H, 4Ks, and Listong Kabataan. Each organisation represent a specific sector, but are working together towards a common goal, youth empowerment. IP Youth represent the youths belonging to the Indigenous Peoples community, 4H for Agriculture, 4Ks for Environment, and Listong Kabataan for Emergency and Disaster Preparedness.

Saturday – The Indigenous Peoples Youth went through a selection process for their new set of officers, electing Mr. Jeffrey Namoc of Brgy. San Roque as the new IP Youth President, replacing Ms. Aileen Alibangbang Obligana of Brgy. Mainit, who served the youth for years ,and left a legacy before deciding to pursue another path in life. Following the IP Youth, the 4H Club also managed to do an election, and voted Mr. Nerbert Gomez of Brgy. Mainit as President, replacing Mr. Jason Gumban of Brgy. Pangutosan, who is now a part of the AFP. Enjoined in the 4H Club meeting was 4Ks, an election was conducted but Melvin Camposo remained as President of the organisation.
Sunday – Listong Kabataan met to discuss and finalise their upcoming First Aid Refresher’s Training on January 27-28, 2022 at Buda Vista Garden Resort, Arakan, North Cotabato. The said activity is essential to the organisation, as they will be applying the learnings to the youths of the municipality as they conduct basic first aid trainings in the barangay level.

Present during the said meetings were the organisation’ focal persons, and officers from the Nabunturan Youth Development Section under the Office of Mayor Chelita C. Amatong.
