Barangay Bukal, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley Province was created barangay on March 28, 1994. It is 18 kms. away from the Municipality of Nabunturan, adjacent to Barangay Mainit, its mother barangay. And before reaching the Municipality of Nabunturan the constituents will pass five (5) barangays namely: Barangay Mainit, Anislagan, Manat, Cabidianan and Sta. Maria.

Barangay Bukal as proclaimed Mainit Hotsprings Protected Landscape has owned 1,415 has. composed of agricultural and mining areas. Although it is newly created barangay but it ranks as 5th largest number of electors among the 28 barangays, composed of 14 puroks, 439 households, with almost 3, 000 population based on census of 2007.

Foreign and local tourist usually visits Barangay Bukal particularly in P-5 due to the presence of Hot & Cold Water and at P-2 for having TOYUZO MT. RESORT our two famous TOURIST ATTRACTION.

Barangay Bukal is located at the Eastern part of the Municipality of Nabunturan and three (3 kms.) kilometers away from the next barangay. This barangay is bounded with forestall, hilly and agricultural area. Abaca, coconut, coffee and bananas are the most common farm products aside from those who are engaged in mining activity.
